Minutes of the January 8, 2009 Meeting
Present: Mayor Driscoll, Robert Lutts, Raymond Vaillancourt
and Thaddeus Buczko
Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve the minutes of the December 11, 2008 meeting. The motion was seconded by Thaddeus Buczko and voted unanimously.
The Friends of the Salem Council on Aging submitted information about a campaign to raise funds for the Life Saver Program. The Board reviewed the information and has additional questions. This will be tabled until the next meeting.
We will also discuss the changes in the Medicare Advantage rates for medication and how it affects the elderly income scale.
There were three requests from the Council on Aging for medication reimbursement from the Endicott Fund. Raymond Vaillancourt made a motion to approve; $119.86, $116.90, and $294.65. The motion was seconded by Robert Lutts and voted unanimously.
Third quarter Large Grants will be dispersed this month.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
